Key Responsibilities

Although the role will vary from time to time, the key areas of responsibility for our support team are as follows:

• Quickly dealing with Customer queries through our helpdesk support suite and via telephone
• Assisting our customers with the impact of configuration changes to our products.
• Assisting with the Quality Assurance of our product of interim software releases
• Interacting with Middle Level and Senior Managers across various clients

Compleat sells primarily to direct customers and increasingly through a network of partners and associates. In the main this role will be providing support to end user customer staff. These users rely upon Compleat support consultants to answer questions and solve problems that they cannot solve in-house themselves.

We need people with exceptional levels of application knowledge and technical skill and the ability to work under pressure whilst managing high workloads in a constantly changing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a background working in an application support team providing business-to-business application software solutions. Confidence discussing accounting, purchasing and procurement concepts with users is of critical importance. Exposure to MS SQL Server and its interoperability with web applications is also desirable to aid case investigation and resolution.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in delivering or supporting accounting software or web-based procurement products on behalf of a software manufacturer at a software vendor or at a major UK accounting software reseller or system integrator. A basic technical background in MS SQL Server and confidence working on deployed cloud and on-premise web applications is required although you will be supported by a team of technical consultants/DBAs to assist with integrations and more complex database tasks.

Knowledge Skills Required:

  • Basic accounting knowledge covering key purchasing processes/conventions (including purchase ledger/accounts payable) and double entry concepts, ERP/financial accounting software application implementation/support experience.

  • Experience of dealing with high volumes of concurrent case load and working under delivery and time pressure.

  • Excellent telephone manner and confident approach to problem solving along with excellent time management and communication skills.

  • A sound appreciation of project management principles to aid working closely with our project management team will be beneficial to assure quality customer deliverables.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience in delivering or supporting accounting software on behalf of a software author or at a major UK accounting software reseller would be beneficial.

  • Accounts Payable experience.

  • Experience preferably includes implementing and/or supporting one or some of these applications:
    - Microsoft Dynamics GP/NAV, Infor SunSystems 4,5,6, Pegasus Opera II, 3, SAGE 50, 200,1000, Unit4 CODA Dream, SAP Business One, PS Financials, SAP R/3, Oracle EBS, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Intaact and AccountsIQ.

  • Appreciation of and confidence working with the following technologies is highly desirable:
    - MS SQL Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), Web Applications, reporting/BI offerings (e.g. SSRS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects etc), Remote Support tools and PowerBI.

  • Finance Systems administrator experience desirable.

Up to £24,000 per annum

Additional benefits include contributory pension + 25 days’ holiday per annum.
