Compleat Software Launches ‘Compleat’ Spend Control For Sage Accounting Software

Compleat Software Limited www.compleatsoftware.com today announces its portfolio of supported accounting software products has expanded to include integration with the market leading Sage 50, Sage 200 and Sage Line 500 suites of accounting and ERP software. The ‘Compleat’ Purchase to Pay automation and spend control solution for Sage is launched today, offering the 10,000 accountants in practice using Sage software solutions, affordable and rapidly deployable purchase to pay automation for the first time.

Sage is the market leader in the small and medium enterprise accounting software market, providing software and services to over 760,000 SMEs in the UK. Sage 50, 200 and Line 500 join a range of ERP and accounting systems supported by Compleat Software’s browser-based solutions, which includes SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Pegasus Opera II, Infor FMS SunSystems and Coda Dream.

The tight, real-time integration of Compleat extends the already rich functionality of Sage’s software suites to deal with spend control, purchase automation and employee expenses at a price point that makes it truly affordable for SMEs and easily recommended by accounting firms.

Compleat delivers a single paperless process from the creation of a request to purchase, through to budget checking, a formal approval process, purchase order creation, receipting and finally purchase invoice capture and approval. Compleat provides instant visibility of every transaction to everyone that is involved in the process.

Web-based purchase order generation provides improved cashflow management and forecasting based on actual and committed spend, which is delivered through full commitment accounting.

For accountants, Compleat’s integration with Sage means that, where necessary, it is possible to take control of clients’ budgets, ensuring that every requisition / purchase order is always in budget and included within the cashflow forecast automatically. This delivers automated purchase ordering, centralised budget control and corporate cashflow management based on fact.

Purchase to pay automation also facilitates a consolidation of suppliers to maximise SME buying power and negotiate the best possible credit terms, generating the appropriate Terms & Conditions with each order, whilst also capturing the supplier’s performance to aid future negotiations. Automating the purchasing process also makes the lives of all employees easier, increasing productivity and enabling them to focus on driving the business forward instead of playing a never ending game of paper-chase. With this in mind, purchase automation and employee expenses solutions that are affordable, fast to deploy and easy to use are of increasing importance to SMEs.

Neil Robertson, CEO of Compleat Software, comments, “The significant reduction in government spending, rising unemployment and increased taxation is driving demand for increased productivity, spend control and quantifiable cash savings nation-wide. Maintaining corporate liquidity is going to be critical, whether for survival or to maximise the opportunity for expansion. The money that can be saved by using an Purchase to Pay system like Compleat goes straight to the bottom line and provides a quantifiable return on investment in less than six months even for an SME.”

Available in three editions – Standard, Professional and Enterprise – Compleat is a long term strategic solution for customers that is suitable for the mass market, scalable to an SME’s needs and responsive to future growth, at whatever rate the customer requires.

Robertson concludes, “The only way for accountants and Financial Directors to attain control over expenditure and create a budgetary environment that reflects the organisation’s short and long term objectives is to achieve complete, real-time visibility of every purchase. The electronic capture of the purchase order enables full commitment accounting with no more “best guess” accruals every month. An accountant or financial director can provide management accounts and cashflow forecasts that reflect every purchase commitment the company has made, moment by moment, and predict accurately where it will be as far into the future as commitments have been made.”
